Answer · Small business sales
An AI sales employee for a small business.
It answers the enquiries on your web chat and email, asks the questions your trade asks before a quote, writes the answers onto the lead and hands anything unusual to a person. You hire it, test it on an exam and review it weekly. The first 30 days are free.

Before release
The short answer
What it does, what it costs, how you check it
Four facts a small business owner asks first. Each one is a product rule, the same on the role page, the pricing page and the exam log.
01 · The job
It works the inbound queue of a small business
Every enquiry on your web chat and on a dedicated email address gets a reply in the customer's language, from your price list, hours and service area. It asks the questions your trade asks, writes the answers onto the lead and records the next step: a visit, a showing, a table, a consultation.
02 · The cost
A free 30-day pilot, then one flat monthly fee
The pilot needs no payment and no card. After it, the fee is agreed on the pilot review: how many conversations, leads and handovers the employee handled. It is one flat fee per AI employee, with messages and minutes unmetered.
03 · The check
It passes an exam in your trade before customers see it
Twelve conversations from your industry, each run three times. A question passes only when all three runs pass, the pass mark is 75% of questions, and one failed mandatory question fails the exam. Then 30 days of probation as a Trainee whose replies you approve.
04 · The limits
A person keeps money, contracts and judgment
It says it is an AI in the first message, quotes only numbers from the price list you approved, and never confirms a booking time on its own. Emergencies, complaints, legal, tax or medical questions, a customer ready to pay and the word HUMAN go to a person with a summary.
Fit
When it is the right first hire
Read both columns against your last twenty enquiries. A desk can land on both sides: then the AI employee takes the routine share and the owner keeps the rest.
A good fit when
- Enquiries arrive on your site or by email after hours and wait until morning
- The same five questions come before every quote or booking
- Your prices, hours and service area are written down, or can be
- One person handles sales and everything else in the business
- You want to read every reply for the first month before trusting it
Keep a person on it when
- The sale turns on negotiation or a long relationship
- Most enquiries arrive by phone (voice and SMS are planned)
- Prices are set case by case and never written down
- The customer needs a licensed opinion before anything else
- You need it inside Telegram, WhatsApp or Instagram today (planned)
By trade
Five trades with a ready job description
Each template carries its own qualification script, red lines and exam cases. Consulting, legal and tax practices run on a sixth template we use for our own companies.
HVAC, plumbing, electrical
Books the visit and names only the diagnostic fee you approved. A gas smell or a CO alarm gets the safety instruction and a person first.
Moving
Date, from and to with floors and parking, rooms and large items before any rate, and the rate always from your list.
Real estate
Offers the showing first, then location, budget, timeline and pre-approval. No valuations and no mortgage opinions.
Salons and barbershops
One question per message, prices from the list, a booking request the salon confirms.
Restaurants and catering
Seven facts before an event price; allergies go to the kitchen as a note, never as a promise.
The full scripts, stops and weekly measures for each trade are on the AI sales manager page.
Pilot · 30 days · free
What a pilot takes from a small team
The Unistaff team sets the pilot up with you over a call, with no code on your side, and the employee starts as a Trainee whose drafts you approve.
- From you
- Your website address and price list, hours, service area, the contacts for handovers, and the rules it must never break.
- From the Unistaff team
- The chat widget on your site, set up with you or your webmaster, and a dedicated email address for the pilot.
- Your time
- An hour for the interview and the first review, a few minutes a day in the cabinet, a short review each week.
- What you keep
- Leads as CSV and the knowledge folder stay with your company, also when you stop.
Questions small business owners ask
An AI that works your inbound sales queue the way a new hire would: it answers web chat and email from your price list, asks your trade's qualification questions, records the next step and hands the conversation to a person when the rules say so. At Unistaff it is hired from a job description, sits an exam, starts on 30 days of probation and gets a weekly review.
At Unistaff the first 30 days are a free pilot with no payment and no card. After the pilot, one flat monthly fee per AI employee is agreed on the review results: conversations, leads and handovers. Messages and minutes are unmetered. No list price is published yet.
It takes the routine share of an inbound desk: first replies, qualification, lead notes and booking requests, at any hour. Payments, contracts and promises about dates stay with a person at every trust level, so a small business usually runs it next to the owner or one salesperson.
Yes. The first message of every conversation says it is the AI assistant of your company, in the customer's language, and asked directly it confirms. Typing HUMAN hands the conversation to a person from the first reply.
Every number in a reply is checked against the price list you approved before it goes out; a number that is not there becomes "I will check with the team" and the gap is shown to you. Before release it sits an exam in your trade, and the exam log of the demo employees is public, failures included.
Web chat on your site and email work today. Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, phone and SMS are planned, as are calendar and CRM connections. Until a calendar is connected, a booking is a request that a person confirms.
Yes. The live demo at app.unistaff.ai/demo lets you write to AI sales managers of demo companies: the founder's own businesses and fictional ones, marked as such.
